I found this video on Face Book - Social Media. I think a lot of our middle school students feel this way. They have lots of friends on social media, yet they are lonely. I think this is very valid for both middle school students, as well as adults to think about.
Oh, wow!! This is so very true. I have seen families sitting in a restaurant, and instead of talking to each other, each member of the family is looking at his or her phone. How sad it is the family is missing some valuable bonding time. This video would be a great discussion starter for students.
ReplyDeleteThis video was making the rounds on (of course!) social media earlier this year and it did strike a chord with me! There are so many people who rely on technology to keep them busy at all times - in the car, at restaurants, in the line at the store, and I hate when I am guilty of it too! I agree that this would be a great discussion starter for students.
